First: Read the Ordinance you have been accused of violating (most are on the reverse side of "Notice"). If you have any questions, call us at (732) 968-3033.
Second: Note the date by which you must make remediation to the violation(s). If you cannot complete it in the time allotted, please call us at (732) 968-3033.
First: Note the court date. All summonses issued for these violations require a Mandatory Court Appearance. If you cannot make it on that date, please call the Municipal Court Office at the number on the summons to request another date. If you do not appear, the Judge may issue a warrant for your arrest for Contempt of Court.
Second: In order to minimize any court penalties, please remediate any violations at least two days before the court date. The Code Enforcement Officer will check before court and if the problem has been taken care of he can request leniency from the Prosecutor.
The goal of Code Enforcement is to solve problems, not to collect fines.
